Ebbsfleet United F.C. – Soccer Club 5-7 Year Olds

Venue:          St Georges School, Meadow Road, Gravesend

Day:             Saturday

Time:            10.00am – 11.30am

Cost:            £3.00 per session

It is helpful if your child arrives at 9.45am, so that the coaching session can start promptly. 

It is essential that the children bring with them a non-fizzy drink and wear their normal football kit – tracksuits, hats and gloves are recommended if it is cold! 

Shin pads must be worn, as no child will be permitted to play in small-sided games without proper protection. 

Depending on ground conditions, appropriate footwear must also be worn; normally football boots but trainers where the ground is very hard. 

The aim of the ‘Soccer Club’ is for the children to have fun in a safe environment whilst developing their football skills in the critical techniques of:-

·      Running with the ball

·      Changing direction with and without the ball

·      Dribbling

·      Heading

·      Shooting

·      Passing and control

The Ebbsfleet United Youth Section currently has teams competing in leagues from under 8 level to under 16’s and it is hoped that the children from the ‘Soccer Club’ will progress sufficiently to be able to represent Ebbsfleet United in competitive games. 

All coaches in the Youth Section are volunteers and they must adhere to the EUFC “Code of Conduct for Managers & Coaches”; all our coaching staff are required to attend FA coaching courses and attend the FA Child Protection workshop. 

No member of the EUFC coaching staff are allowed to administer medicine or tablets of any kind to any person. 

Subject to bad weather conditions, it is envisaged that the ‘Soccer Club’ will run throughout the year, although there will be a break for the whole of June.  Other break times, e.g. Easter/Christmas/New Year will be notified.
